Research and Training at the Sackler Lefcourt Center are aimed at increasing knowledge about early child development and parenting. The Sackler Lefcourt Center is affiliated with the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research Parent Infant Program, and the Cornell University Weill Medical College Infant Psychiatry Program. Students from these postgraduate training programs work at the Center to learn about normal development and parenting, and the range of developmental difficulties and parenting concerns that normal parents and children face. Developmental research is conducted at the Center. Parents and children enrolled in Center programs are invited to participate. Participation is optional.
