Why do mothers attend Mothers' Groups?
To be with other mothers
To learn more about child development
To understand more about how one's own experiences as a child influence the current parent-child relationship
To be with her child in an emotionally and intellectually enriched, supportive environment
To follow the development of her child from birth to three years of age with trained professionals
To enroll her child in a small, well equipped play group, conducted by child development professionals that provide individualized attention to each child
How do fathers participate?
Fathers attend parent conferences scheduled throughout the year
Fathers are invited to join specific mothers' groups throughout the year
Who leads the groups?
The director of the Center, Ilene Sackler Lefcourt leads all mothers discussion groups
Alyson McCormick, director of the play program and the developmental play staff, Kim Kleinman, Jessica Sarnicola and Pat Cremins lead the play groups
